Dr. Garascia discusses his career at Xavier University in the Chemistry Department. His career spanned the years from 1942 to 1985. During this time he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati and was chair of the Xavier University chemistry department from 1961 to 1966. He talks about life in Detroit, Michigan where he was born, his wife and family of seven children, his long career as a chemistry professor, students at Xavier during World War II, and various Xavier faculty members and administrators. He was interviewed by Thomas P. Kennealy, S. J., Xavier University Archivist, and Tim McCabe, Xavier University Archives Librarian.
