This collection contains the course catalogs (also known as the Bulletin or the Catalogue) for Xavier University from 1930 to the present. The catalog for the current academic year is available in an interactive online format only. This collection also contains the St. Xavier College Catalogue (also known as the Calendar or the Bulletin). St. Xavier College opened in November 1840 and was renamed Xavier University in August 1930. In 1929/1930 to 1971/1972 the catalog was issued in multiple volumes, with separate volumes for the College of Liberal Arts (including the Graduate School), the Evening Division/College and the Summer Sessions. During this period the record for an academic year in Digital Space contains multiple files, one for each volume issued for that academic year. Separate volumes for the Evening Division/College discontinued after 1961-1962 and separate volumes for the Summer Sessions discontinued after 1972. Beginning in 1972, with a few exceptions, the course catalog included two academic years with their respective summer sessions. In addition to course, program and degree information, the course catalogs contain information about admission, registration, university history and mission, awards, scholarships, financial aid, administration, faculty, tuition and fees, endowment, building construction, facilities, accreditation, policies, and regulations, as well as the academic calendar and schedule of courses. There are some volumes and catalogs that are missing from collection in the University Archives.
