He entered the Society of Jesus August 9, 1871 in Florissant, MO. He also studied at Woodstock College, Woodstock, MD and in Louvain, Belgium. He served as president of Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI and St. Louis University, St. Louis, MO. He served as provincial of the Missouri Province from 1899-1905. He died December 20, 1918 in St. Louis, MO. --Jesuits of the Middle United States, 1938 |
